Due to inclement weather the Carlsbad Municipal Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Thursday, February 18, 2021. School will start two hours later than the normally scheduled time. Buses will run two hours later than the normally pickup time. Thank you

When picking up your student in the afternoon please drive through the pick up lane. If you want to walk to pick up your student, please park by the park and meet him/her at the front of the building. Be sure to send a note so we can change their pickup badge.

Today, February 4th, 3:00-6:00pm and Friday, February 5th, 12:00-3:00pm, staff will be located by the front entrance to hand out dismissal tags. We need ALL students attending In-Person Hybrid School to have these--this includes Walkers, Bus students and Pick up! Please wear your mask. We are so excited to welcome our Hybrid students back into the building on February 8, 2021. Teachers will be contacting you personally to inform you of your child's days of in person learning. CAVE students will remain online only. If you are wanting to move your student from the CAVE to the Hybrid Model, the deadline to do that is February 12, 2021. We are encouraging families to self transport student to and from the building. If you need busing please contact Valley Transportation at 885-4884. We cannot wait to see all you!

Translaas la Gobernadora dio a conocer hoy, anunció que los estudiantes de NM pueden regresar a la escuela en un modelo híbrido a partir del 8 de febrero. El objetivo de las Escuelas municipales de Carlsbad siempre ha sido llevar a los estudiantes de vuelta a la escuela lo más rápido y seguro posible. Las escuelas han dedicado tiempo a desarrollar planes para proporcionar instrucción en persona de la manera más segura posible para los estudiantes y el personal. Aunque el mensaje del gobernador es muy alentador, hay muchos detalles logísticos y requisitos obligatorios de PED que el distrito y las escuelas necesitarán trabajar antes de la apertura. Los nuevos requisitos de elegibilidad se basan en una extensa preparación y protocolos para garantizar la seguridad de los estudiantes, el personal escolar, los educadores y las familias.

As the Governor released today, she announced that NM students may return to school in a hybrid model beginning February 8th. The goal of Carlsbad Municipal Schools has always been to bring students back to school as quickly and safely as possible. The schools have spent time developing plans to provide in-person instruction as safely as possible for students and staff. While the governor's message is very encouraging, there are many logistical details and PED mandated requirements that the district and schools will need to work through prior to opening. The new eligibility requirements rely on extensive preparation and protocols to ensure the safety of students, school staff, educators, and families.
While many of us are anxious to resume in-person learning, we have to do it in a way that allows for the best possibility of returning to an in-person learning environment. We will be meeting and revising plans and processes to meet this goal. Students, staff, parents, and the community at large should not expect a complete return on February 8th. Our return will be measured and thoughtful. In that way, we will not only start in-person learning, but we will also finish it. The details of the plan will be shared throughout the next two weeks. Please check the district website and your campus website for updated information.
Report Cards will be mailed out this Friday. Please verify your address is correct using ParentVue. If you don't have ParentVue you may call the front office and one of the girls will help you. If changes need to be made, please call the front office . Thank you for your help! We appreciate you!
New schedule starts today! First Google Meet is at 8:00, Second Google Meet is at 10:00. Your child's teacher will dismiss your student from class when they are ready for independent work.
